Vision for Change NPO, in partnership with Exxaro Matla Coal, successfully hosted an eye testing initiative in Emalahleni aimed at supporting vulnerable members of the community — particularly people living with albinism.
People living with albinism often face serious visual challenges due to light sensitivity, reduced visual acuity, and other eye-related conditions. Recognizing this need, the partners came together to provide professional eye testing, assessments, and support to ensure better quality of life for beneficiaries.
Their involvement ensured that those most in need were identified and given priority access to services.
Exxaro Matla Coal emphasized that this
initiative is very close to their heart, as part of their broader commitment to
giving back to communities surrounding their operations. Supporting people
living with disabilities remains a key pillar of their social responsibility
programmes.
